If you watch our Instagram stories and remember when Shaina from THE Nashville team insisted on sorting cereal so we'd have a green canister, this was the project. Let's just say we reached an entirely new level of ROYGBIV—and it's found inside Mallory Ervin's pantry.

If you don't know Mallory, it's about time that you did. She's a Nashville local and a close friend of ours, and is unbelievably hilarious. Mallory also happens to be former Miss Kentucky, which we are slightly jealous of because she has a crown and we don't.

Mallory recently moved into a new house in January, and wanted our help achieving #pantrygoals. We obviously said yes and we must say, it might be one of our favorite projects to date. Here's a step-by-step on how to get this functional ROYGBIV look in your own pantry:

Tip #1: Simplify Your Self-Care

It can be tough to prioritize self-care when you are so busy taking care of everything and everyone else—but that’s when it’s more crucial than ever! *cue flight attendant speech about putting your oxygen mask on before helping others*

Sleep, stress, and immune health are connected systems—if one is off, so are the rest! Being able to streamline your solutions, rather than focusing on them separately, simplifies a routine. The new Nature Made Wellblends are our favorite because these supplements are targeted to balance our sleep, stress & immune health needs.

They come in capsule form, gummies, (that just so happen to taste amazing!), and fizzy drink mixes, which we can throw in our purses and take on the go!

Tip #2: Designate a Drop Spot

Let us guess: Your kids get home from school and instantly drop all their things in a pile by the front door? Meet them in the middle with a drop spot system! This may include shoes, backpacks, lunch boxes, jackets, and after-school activity items like ballet shoes or soccer cleats—but every family is different. These items can be hung or stored in an open bin, what matters is that your kids can access them when necessary. Not only will this system leave clutter at the door and hold everyone accountable for their space, but you’ll be able to quickly grab whatever you need when rushing out the door.

Tip #3: Create a Command Station

Every home needs a system for managing all the incoming and outgoing paper…or else it will quickly pile up on the countertop and stress you out. When creating your system, think in three general categories: To-Do, File, and Recycle. As a reminder for tasks at hand, To-Do papers need to remain organized but visually accessible in open trays or letter sorters. Files can either be stored in hanging file or document boxes, labeled by category, color, or both.

BONUS TIP: Designate a paper tray in clear view where your kids can place all the papers you need to sign or look over.

Tip #4: Prepare For Last-Minute Emergencies

It never fails – the moment you are about to walk out the door is also when your kid decides to confess they forgot to brush their teeth...or maybe it was a truly chaotic morning and you realize you forgot to brush yours. Oops! That’s why it’s better to keep a crisis-management kit right by the door for all your *oh no’s!* and *mommy, I forgot’s*.

Think back to your past experiences and decide what will come in handy. Some suggestions include toothpaste, toothbrushes, flossers, hairbrushes, hair ties, you name it. We suggest using stackable drawers, along with bin organizers to keep everything contained and categorized.

Tip #5: Set Up a Supply Station

For most people, the kitchen table is the homework headquarters. But instead of lugging supplies back and forth on a daily basis, store on a rolling cart! Not only does this system on wheels save space, but it also manages clutter for less distractions! Categorize and contain using bins or turntables just as you would on a closet shelf.
