Bagel Tray

"I got this tip from a friend, and I think it's genius. Whether it's a cocktail party, a Christmas party, or something that might get out of hand, your host will probably have to wake up and deal with the carnage. So you bring them a half-dozen bagels, however many, with some pints of cream cheese on a nice tray, so breakfast is all set in the morning when they pick up trash and contemplate why they chose to host that party." -Sumner

Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 Instant Camera

"I love a gift that you can use in the moment, like an instant camera. They can take photos at the event and have the fun memories." -Heather

Fujifilm Instax Mini Instant Rainbow Film

"They make this really cute film that comes out in rainbow colors. I stick a Sharpie with it so people can write a little message on it. Also, give them an extra pack of film so they can use it at their next event." -Heather

Linen Cocktail Napkins

"When it comes to drink and water ring management, one of the things people bring a lot is paper cocktail napkins. But I encourage you to level it up a bit with linen cocktail napkins. There are so many options, and you can have them custom embroidered to fit the host's style." -Sumner

Rock Star Glass Coasters

"I love these. There are so many options available, so you can gift a different one each time, depending on who you are giving it to." -Heather

Fancy Olive Oil

"I love when someone brings me olive oil. This one from Graza comes as a set, which is so fun and fab. Also, the packaging is unbelievably good!" -Sumner

"Bringing a bottle of wine is always a go-to, but this is a nice switch-up if the host doesn't drink alcohol. This Brightland set is beautiful." -Heather

Candle

"The candle is a standard hostess gift because it's either a scent they'll love and keep forever, or they won't love it, and you are giving them a regifting opportunity, which is very generous. Add a box of long matches as a nice touch." -Sumner

Thank You Note

"If you don't bring a gift, at least write a thank you note. It goes a long, long way. Stationery doesn't need to be fancy; it's the thought that counts." -Sumner
