Tip 1: Hack Your Hydration
We all know that water is essential to our wellbeing, but when life gets busy, sometimes reaching for a Diet Coke (or glass of champagne) sounds more appealing. That’s why if you want to make hydration a habit, you have to make drinking water feel just as fun.
Enter the tumbler. Whether you go with Stanley, Yeti, or anything in between, you are sure to find a style that becomes what we like to refer to as an Emotional Support Water Bottle. Pretty soon, you’ll feel weird not having it by your side at all times. Want to really take things up a notch? Bring a nugget ice maker into the mix.
Tip 2: Create a Cart
You are much more likely to work out when you remove the "work" from a workout. Remember what we said about the path of least resistance? Setting up a home gym will remove the barrier that often keeps us from doing anything: Having to leave our house. Instead of wasting energy trying to find parking or finding a babysitter, you’ll be able to fit in a few active minutes no matter how chaotic your day is. This doesn't mean you need to invest in a treadmill or anything fancy. A cart with few free weights and a yoga mat can go a long way.
Tip 3: Sneak In Your Strength Training
We love a multi-tasking solution, and what helps you multitask more than weights you can wear like bracelets? We’ll be honest: You might feel silly wearing Bala Bangles at first, but trust the process. Soon it will become second nature to slip on a pair and tone up while taking your kid to soccer practice. Grab your set here and report back.
Tip 4: Walk to Work
Do you ever promise yourself that you’ll take a walk break during a busy work day, and then just never do? Add a walking pad with a desktop to your office setup so you can get your cardio in while circling back on all those emails. Talk about productivity!
Tip 5: Take a Scroll
Another treadmill hack for you: Scrolling through TikTok while getting your steps in. If you are questioning the safety of this, don’t worry, it’s 2024 and they’ve thought of everything. With this remote control scroller made specifically for TikTok, you'll find yourself so far down the content rabbit hole you won’t even realize you are five miles in.
Tip 6: Pay to Play
Need something (or someone) to hold you accountable from the comfort of your own home? Try a subscription-based fitness app. Sure, there are many free workout classes on YouTube, but you are much more likely to stick to something if there was some investment involved.
Since there are so many options out there to choose from, we polled the team members at The Home Edit HQ and here’s what they had to say:

Tip 7: Get into Gear
Dressing the part has its perks. Similar to how putting on a pantsuit can make you feel powerful, a cute workout set can go a long way in terms of falling into a new fitness routine. We rounded up some of our favorite fits below to get you started!
