TIP 1: DON'T WASTE VERTICAL SPACE
Every square inch of closet space is considered prime real estate, especially where height is involved. In Gigi's case, the top cubbies were used to store accessory boxes, many of which were empty, and made the space look crowded and cluttered. But once the team pared down and moved certain boxes to long-term storage, they were able to create a beautiful rainbow display to highlight all of Gigi's favorite pieces and buy back space elsewhere. Don't forget: Creating smart systems is all about finding that magical sweet spot where form meets function.

TIP 2: CONTAIN IT TO MAINTAIN IT
It doesn't matter how innately organized you are: If you don't have guardrails in place, or containment zones to hold you accountable, things will start to pile up. By transferring Gigi's loungewear to Montauk bins labeled by category, she can now see and grab what she needs without having to sift through the abyss. And once those bins reach full capacity? System overload. Time to pare down!
TIP 3: OFFER SHELF SUPPORT
Jeans, heavy sweaters, and hoodies are often too bulky to store in bins. That's when shelf dividers enter the chat. This smart solution is designed to keep stacks of clothing upright and neatly contained but with room to breathe. Pro tip: Attach the divider to the back rather than the front of the shelf for a cleaner, built-in look.

TIP 4: DO MORE WITH DRAWERS
Don't get us wrong, we love how Gigi was originally storing her sunglasses, with each pair organized and visible. But once other items started piling up in front of them, it became a cluttered distraction. The solution? Shifting all the accessories down to the drawers, and using separate inserts to keep everything protected and organized. Now, everything has a home, the top of the dresser is clear, and items are easier to access than ever before. It's a win!
As for the items that don't fit in drawer inserts? These spring-loaded expandable dividers are made to keep items in their lane, no matter size the drawer.

TIP 5: DON'T BE SHY TO DIY
Gigi already had clear storage on her vanity, but she quickly outgrew it as soon as new products were added in. As it typically happens, the overflow began piling up on the floor since there was nowhere else to contain it. Since more vanity storage would just add to the clutter, the team brought in some Elfa drawer units, which are customizable and easy to build, so products could be categorized by type with room to grow.
