TIP 1: CLEAR THE FLOOR

Before Gabrielle's team repainted, the built-in hanging rods were barely seen, especially with wardrobe racks in front of them. But with the racks gone, the walls repainted, and clothing hung by category in rainbow order on slim velvet hangers (which are a must-have!), the entire space went from dark and dreary to clean and serene. It serves as a great reminder that sometimes, the solution you are looking for has been there all along!

TIP 2: CREATE DESIGNATED ZONES

The containers Gabrielle used in her dressing room cabinet weren't doing her any favors since she had to remove them to see what was inside. By designating categorized and labeled zones (i.e., tools, accessories, shapewear) with clear bins and woven baskets, she can now spot items at a glance with the added benefit of a more streamlined look.

TIP 3: STACK TO SAVE SPACE (AND TIME!)

When it comes to storing products, the convenience of a large drawer with a divided turntable stacked on top is unparalleled. This smart storage solution ensures all your items are visible and easily accessible, eliminating the need for digging. This is a game-changer for people like Gabrielle, who has a team of makeup artists and hair stylists needing quick access to items. By using the drawer to store smaller items, with baby bins to separate each category, and the divided turntable for taller items like hairspray, the result is a clear countertop with products still within reach.

TIP 4: FIT TO SIZE

The deeper the drawer, the deeper the inserts you need to keep your items contained. In other words, use the same clear bins that you'd place in a cabinet, but in a drawer. This may seem like common sense, but you'd be surprised how often deep drawers are underutilized or become dumping grounds due to a lack of containers that fit the space. With bins, our team was able to create a system that is visible and can be easily maintained, no matter who is accessing it.

TIP 5: HANG YOUR HATS & HANDBAGS

Purses are often tricky to store since they need extra support to keep their shape and stand up straight. The solution? S-Hooks are a great way to take advantage of vertical space when you have extra room on a hanging rod—which we did since Gabrielle's shoes took up most of the upper shelving. Not only do they keep purses with handles protected from damage, but they also make them easier to grab at a moment's notice. P.S. You can use these hooks to hang hats, too!
